Here are a couple optional items that are just much easier to do "while you're in there": #6: Replace and/or reseal the oil filter housing and thermostat housing. Item 6 is the ECT aka Engine Coolant Temperature which drives both the gauge in the car and provides input to the Engine Control module. Assuming you have an ALH engine, the ECT is on the driver's side of the head on the back side.

About 5 minutes later, she comes back on the line and says the part is covered. The quality of the auxiliary exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler modules manufactured within a certain timeframe may be inadequate. The vacuum actuator diaphragm may have leaks. A faulty auxiliary EGR cooler will trigger a P310E fault. Faulty operation of the auxiliary EGR cooler can also trigger the P040B fault, but there is no issue with gBWl.
