Posted August 1, 2014. The car goes in to limp mode if there is a fault that affects the emissions from the exhaust and the fault can be anything such as a camshaft sensor, air flow meter, etc. The limp mode allows the car to run with preset parameters so it can be driven home/for repair.
I've got a C5 Mk1. I've just had the EOLYS fluid topped up. When I floor it anti pollution fault comes up. It was doing it before I filled up the pat fluid up. The fault stays on (usually) for about a day and a half then goes off. The car does not miss a beat or smoke or anything whilst it's on.

Hello, it's been a while since I last posted since all was running fine for almost 2 years, but today I have had the check engine light come on with the 'Antipollution Faulty' message on the display. The car is still driving OK however. It's a 2010 1.6 PETROL 90bhp which is the most basic engine on these.
